Dan has been News Director at KFDI since 1979.  He replaced Nelson Schock who wanted to focus on street news and severe weather coverage reporting.  Dan is responsible for the operation of the 24 Hour News and Weather Center which is staffed 24-7.  Dan is a trained storm spotter like all others on the news staff.  But he has yet to actually see a tornado or a rotating funnel cloud.  The majority of the time, Dan's job during severe weather coverage is to anchor...making sure the men and women in the mobile units get on the air...bringing in Merril Teller and the rest of the meteorologists at KWCH Storm Team 12...and also keeping up with the latest warnings from the National Weather Service.   

You can hear Dan Dillon every morning Monday through Friday doing the news and sports on KFDI-FM and AM-1070 The Ranch from 5am-9am.
