Anyone who knows me knows that I preach personal responsibility and choice. In my past, I've made some good ones and some bad ones, but I've taken responsibility for all my choices and actions and have learned from the results.
Christmas break! Remember how much fun it was as a kid? Now, as a parent, you have a bit of a different opinion. Sure it's nice to have some extra 'family time' but then it turns ugly when the kids get bored and you're running out of ideas of things to do. All of a sudden you're not sleeping well, you can't escape the kids, you're not showering as much, the house is a mess and your appearance looks like you just walked off the set of THE WALKING DEAD.
I went into Christmas morning excited for the first cup of coffee, excited to walk the dogs, excited to see my wife open her gifts. I was pretty proud of how creative I was and I was excited to see her surprise. Little did I know, I would be the one surprised and then overwhelmed with emotion.
