Starting a new job, in a new town, in a new place....no matter how old I get or how many times I do it, I still feel like the 'new kid in school'. To me, that nervousness is a good thing because it tells me that I want to fit in ....and believe me, I DO!
First and foremost you, the listener, have been and always will be my number one priority. At the end of the day this radio station and it's history belong to you. I was in the studio with Tony during the transition and it was great listening to you call and tell stories about when you first started listening and how long you've been listening. It just reinforced what I already knew, KFDI is "YOUR baby"!
Over these last couple of weeks, I've made a couple of mistakes (who am I kidding, 10 years from now I'll still make them from time to time), but at the end of the day I'm gonna give you my best. It's just the way I've approached any job I've had. Whether I was cutting onions and doing dishes in a seafood restaurant in Maine, to working on a charter fishing boat, a lobster boat, a dairy farm, a landscaping crew, retail....I always give it my best.
Speaking of the last couple of weeks, I can't thank you enough for being so welcoming. From my first night in town when I was on stage at Riverfest getting introduced as "the New Guy" to the ticket stop at Auntie Mae's and this past weekend's Hero Ride at Alef's Harley Davidson.....each and everyone of you that I have met have been super kind and welcoming. I appreciate that.
Be sure to check out my bio, follow me on Facebook at Twitter and if you see me around town please say hello. Most of all, THANK YOU for listening and THANK YOU for letting me be a part of your day on 101.3, TODAY'S KFDI!
