I found a pretty interesting article from WOMEN'S HEALTH MAGAZINE while surfing around the web the other day. It was all about HOW MEN AND WOMEN FELT ABOUT CHEATING! While the sample size of the survey was small, it does touch on some age old questions regarding cheating and monogamy. For instance, WOULD YOU CHEAT IF YOU KNEW THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO WAY YOU WOULD GET CAUGHT?
The article goes as far as to suggest that monogamy may be "Biologically Unrealistic". We are supposed to be at the top of the food chain. The superior being on this planet! Yet there are many "lesser" animals that chose one mate and mate for life. Here is a LIST OF 12 ANIMALS that mate for life. Geesh! Even termites mate for life!!
So are we to believe that the superior species has no self control or is it truly in our DNA to look for the "next best thing" due to some ancient need to further the species and give it the best opportunity to evolve and survive. I'd be interested to hear what you think.
Till Next Time!
