I can't believe that my show is closing this weekend. It sure doesn't seem like "Desperate Housewives of Sedgwick County" has already been running for seven weeks! It went so fast!!!!
I always hate to see one of my plays end. I think it's because once it's over - it's over. Even if you were to do this show again, it will never be this exact show with this exact cast. I'm so lucky to actually be able to write plays and get them produced - but to do shows with my friends makes it even more special. I love watching these people act too. They're so much fun. My favorite spot at Mosley Street Melodrama is sitting on the step in the corner of the room by myself - no one ever realizes I'm sitting there and I can just watch the show AND watch the audience. I love doing that.
To everyone who went to see it - thank you so much. And for the people who were on the waiting list, I'm so sorry it didn't run a little bit longer. To the amazing cast - Steve, Briley, Jenny, Randy, Tom and Ariel - you are amazing actors and great friends and thanks for all of your hard work.
Now...on to "The Devil Wore Wranglers"...I've got another show to write!!!! It goes into rehearsals in a MONTH! ARGH!
