As you know...I am a big advocate for adopting rescue animals. There are just WAY too many animals that don't have homes and would make a great pet, if someone would just give them a chance. And this Saturday, the Kansas Humane Society is having a big event and they want to adopt 100 animals!
Family Fun Day at the Kansas Humane Society this Saturday, August 27, with 50% Off Adoption Fees and FREE Activities for Kids
The Kansas Humane Society invites Wichita’s families to add a new member to their home during ”Family Fun Day” this Saturday, August 27, with 50% off all adoption fees, Dog Daze Deli for people, and great fun for children of all ages including:
· Zhu Zhu Pet Races – 2 p.m. only- Race your own or borrow a KHS Zhu Zhu pet and see whose hamster is the fastest.
· Make & Take Crafts – All day - including Dog Treats and Kitten Play Socks
· Face Painting – All day - Be the pet you’ve always wanted
· Veterinarian Corner – All day - Try on scrubs, explore a mini-clinic
· Coloring Contest and Prize Giveaways - All day- including a free day of KHS Winter Break Critter Camp, Family Four Pack of Warren Theatre Movie Tickets, Wichita Thunder game tickets and more
The Kansas Humane Society will also be open early at 10 a.m. to encourage people to adopt.
“We want 100 pets to find new homes on Saturday and for children to create awesome memories at the Kansas Humane Society,” said Jennifer Campbell, director of communications.
