BRAD PAISLEY - This is Country Music
You know, this was tough for me because I love Brad Paisley, and I love this CD but the reason it's #10 is because I don't think it's his BEST CD. He sets his own bar so high that you can't help but compare his CDs. (My favorite it still "5th Gear") That said though, it's a really good CD. The playing and the arrangements are simply amazing. Not only is Brad a great player, but he surrounds himself with great players - and great artists too. He has some help on this CD from Don Henley, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Alabama, Sheryl Crowe, Marty Stewart and even what I would call a cameo from Clint Eastwood. His CDs always include a crazy good instrumental (Eastwood), a wonderful religious song (Life's Railway to Heaven) and something that will touch your heart like (One Of Those Lives). And I do think that "Old Alabama" is one of the most brilliantly written songs ever, the way the Alabama songs and Alabama are incorporated into that song is genius.
Super great CD - I just don't think it's quite as good as some of his others so that's why he's #10!
