What an absolutely incredible show this past weekend. I can't thank them enough for putting it on. I go every year they host an Open House and every year I am absolutely blown away. Going to the open house makes me proud, patriotic, humbled and absolutely overwhelmed. I was like a little kid taking video - so here are some of my highlights.
First off - the B52. My Dad was a tailgunner in a B52 and I can't see one without getting emotional. One of my favorite memories was going to the Open House a few years before he died and he was like a kid talking to the airmen about the plane. He was so excited to see one again and it's something I'll never forget. I remember when I was a kid and the base would have open house and we get a huge lecture about what a big day it is for Dad and to BEHAVE. Believe me, we did.
