I love my friend Jenny's big heart - and I love her theater group, "Laughing Feet Performers". Laughing Feet isn't your typical theater group. This is a group where special-needs kids and young adults can experience the fun and excitement of being on stage. I had the pleasure of emceeing it last year with Sierra Scott (who was so much fun!) and it was one of the most heartwarming things I have ever done.
I asked Jenny to share a little about the fundraiser:
Laughing Feet Performers is a special needs theatre company and was formed to give anyone the chance to perform on stage. It partners special needs performers with regular education performers and performances include singing, dancing, jokes, Top 10's and MUCH MORE! The purpose of this benefit is to raise money so that our full scale production can be funded and performed in the Spring of 2013. Laughing With The Stars also brings in local celebrities to perform with the Laughing Feet Performers side by side. Celebrities for this event include Mayor Carl Brewer, Bonnie Bing, Sierra Scott, Wayne Bryan from Music Theatre of Wichita, Patty Reeder from Mosley Street Melodrama. Tickets can be purchased on our web site www.laughingfeet.com for $65. Following the hour long production, there will also be an AMAZING silent auction with beer/wine and appetizers. The theatre only holds 392 seats so get your tickets early. We would LOVE to see you all there!
Here is a video of what Laughing Feet is all about. I just love this:
I encourage everyone to attend this fundraiser. If I was in town next week I would absolutely be there. I can't tell you how much what Jenny does touches my heart. After I emceed it, I made friends for a lifetime.
