Volunteer for Japanese Disaster Relief This Saturday

  • Print

After seeing photos and videos of the massive destruction, many of us want to help the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.  Japan is a country of strong and proud people who have been brought to their knees by this devastation.  As citizens of the world, there are ways we can help our brothers and sisters in Japan.

You can help in a very meaningful way by volunteering to pack meals that will be sent to the victims of the Japanese earthquake/tsunami.

The event is being organized by local relief agency Numana in El Dorado.

Volunteers can come to Butler Community College in El Dorado this Saturday, March 19th from 9am - 5pm.  Report to the BCC gymnasium (500 building).

Cash donations for the disaster relief can be made online by clicking the “Donate” button at the top right of the page; please indicate “Japan” in the notes field in the process. Or mail checks to:
PO Box 572
El Dorado, KS 67042
Please write “Japan” in the memo.

Another way to help is by donating to the American Red Cross.  They are working to get water, food and supplies to the victims in the hardest hit area.
