THIS is probably the most important photo taken at the Kenny Chesney concert Wednesday (4/13.)
Find out why by reading below:
In my email box this weekend was a message from Felisa Woods. She is the grandmother of the little girl pictured with Kenny Chesney above. And, she told me an amazing story that I just have to share with you.
There is no doubt in my mind that it is more than a coincidence that Carrington ended up on the stage that night. As Felisa wrote, there was a higher power at work.
Here is what Felisa wrote:
Hello Brian and Kellie!!
The young lady that Kenny Chesney put up on stage with him Wednesday night is my granddaughter, Carrington Walker.
I want to tell you how Carrington happened to end up on stage with Kenny.
I know Kenny had no idea who Carrington is or her story. In September of 2008 Carrington was diagnosed with ALL B Cell leukemia . She has been going through chemo therapy since then. Her hair has fallen out and grown back twice. Right now she is in remission but is still fighting the fight.
This year she is the girl honor patient for the Man and Woman of the Year Campaign to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. At one of the silent auctions at a fund raiser someone won a pair of tickets to the concert. He turned around and gave them to Carrington.
She took her Aunt Teresa to the concert with her. They were sitting in the nosebleed section. A man they didn't know walked up and asked them if they would like wristbands to go down on the floor. They took them and her aunt made her way with Carrinton to front the of the stage.
A lady that they also didn't know offered to help Teresa lift her up so she could see. THAT'S WHEN IT HAPPENED! Kenny picked Carrington out of the thousands of people at the concert to bring up on stage with him!!
I can't help but think a Higher Power was involved in all this. Over the last several years Carrinton has had many highs and lows but I have to tell you, she said being on stage with Kenny was the most exciting thing that ever happened to her!! I think she even wore his sweat to school the next day!
That is a neat story and I just wanted to share - Kellie
