Coming out of the Luke Bryan concert Thursday night at Country Stampede I saw this thing leaning up against the fence. I had to take a picture and quiz the man standing next to it. He was obviously having a good time with all his beads around his heck, a goofy grin on his face and a beer in each hand.
I asked him if I could take a picture of the object and he said sure. Then I said, "Well, what is it exactly." He looked at it, sort of crocked his head to the left and said very matter-of-factly, "It's a beer can duct tape pole." "Oh," I said, "What does it do? What is it for?" His reply, "I don't know. It was here when I got here and no one has come to get it. Do you want it?"
For a split second I almost thought about taking it. Then I thought better of it. What would I do with a "beer can duct tape pole?" I couldn't think of one practical....or impractical.....use for it. And, frankly, I still can't.
