Pretty excited that the USAF Thunderbirds are coming back to McConnell AFB on September 29th & 30th. It's been two years since we have seen them over the skies of Wichita doing what only the Thunderbirds can do.
I LOVE watching them. I think it was a trip to watch the Thunderbirds when he was really young that started my son on the path that would become his life - as a fighter jet pilot.
I want to get the word out so we have a HUGE crowd to welcome the Thunderbirds to town and to welcome Tech Sgt. Cameron Camacho of Haysville, who is the noncommissioned officer in charge of communications for the Thunderbirds between the ground and the air. He is a 1998 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School has been with the team for three seasons.
The Thunderbirds are the U.S. Air Force’s premier aerial flight team, known for their loops and barrel rolls in midair set to music. “We change the show each year,” Camacho said. “The music changes. The maneuvers change.”
It's a free show....open to the public.
I have posted the details on the Brian & Kellie Troop Support page.
