OK...so I started watching Here Comes Honey Boo Boo on the recommendation of someone I really admire.....Miranda Lambert. Miranda said it was going to be a hoot to watch little Honey Boo Boo's family. Well, she was soooo right.
The show has been a HUGE surprise hit for TLC.
Success has been sweet for the cable network, but it hasn't really been lining the pockets of Honey Boo Boo's bank account. And, now the country's favorite redneck family is feelling a little short changed.
The family reportedly is asking for more money per episode to do another season of the show for TLC.
Question? Do you want another season? Ponder that while I finish my thought.
The Hollywood Reporter magazine is saying that seven-year-old pageant star Alana Thompson (Honey Boo Boo) and her family arecurrently in talks to return for season 2, and they are asking for a big pay raise.
Well, actually , by tv standards they aren't really asking for that much.
The Hollywood Reporter says the family is asking to bump their salary per episode from $2,000 -$4,000 to $10,000.
However, June Shannon, known on the show as "Mama June," laughed at the report , telling TMZ that she and her family are already making much more than $2-$4K per show.
The season finale of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" airs Wednesday, Sept. 26 on TLC.
OK...have you decided on that second season yet?
