Get a bunch of kleenex ready before you watch the video below. Twenty-one students from Sandy Hook Elementary came together to record "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" to raise money for the families of their classmates and teachers who didn't survive the tragedy.
Kayla Verga, 10, said she sang the song for her friend, 6-year-old Jessica Rekos, who died the day of the shooting, adding, "Singing the song makes me feel like she's with me and she's beside me, singing along with me."
The recording is now available on Amazon.com and iTunes.com. All proceeds will go to the Newtown Youth Academy and the United Way of Western Connecticut.
This is a pretty long video. If you want to get straight to the kids singing, go into it to about 2:27.
