Until today I had never heard of The Beal Conjecture Number Theory math problem. It's a stumper. Mathematicians have been working on it for 30 years. So far, none have found the solution.
Now a Texas banker is offering $1,000,000 to the first person who can come up with the right answer.
The Beal Conjecture goes like this: If Ax +By = Cz , where A, B, C, x, y and z are positive integers and x, y and z are all greater than 2, then A, B and C must have a common prime factor.
Seeing as I didn't do too well in algebra...and never advanced to calculus, I have no prayer of winning the money. However, since I know we have some great minds here in the Wichita area, there is a chance one of you reading this might have the elusive answer.
