Volunteers Needed For Next Honor Flight

  • Print

The next group of World War II Veterans will fly from Wichita to Washington DC September 4 through 6th.

Volunteers are needed to help at Wichita's Mid-Continent Airport getting the Veterans on the flight on the 4th.......and back off for their Heroes Welcome on the 6th.

Herb Duncan, the Wichita area Honor Flight volunteer coordinator has put up an on line form for anyone wanting to volunteer.  You can find it here:

I have done both, help get the guys on the plane and help de-plane them, and it's an extremely rewarding experience.

Of course, we will also be looking for as many of you as possible to line the corridor of the airport on September 6th to welcome home the Veterans with flags and signs.  You don't need to register in advance to do that.
