The absolute worst password you can use

  • Print

What's the worst password you can possibly use? An annual ranking of the most common -- and therefore worst -- passwords says "123456" is the worst. The reasons are obvious.

Picking a password is now an art form. The best passwords are long combinations of unrelated letters and numbers with random punctuation. Don't use common phrases, or personal information, like your pet's name.
