Nashville Stew Breaking News - Jake & Taylor Split & Kellie Pickler gets married

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal have split according to People Magazine. The website www.people.com is reporting the breakup with a quote from "a source" who says "They're over," and that it ended in December. Ouch. That would make two December breakups for the country star if the story ends up being true.  No reason was given for a split, and the stars reps didn't have immediate comment, but the two spent the holidays apart.  Swift, 21, rang in 2011 in Nashville, solo, at a party, while Gyllenhaal, 30, was in New York. After spending Thanksgiving weekend together, the two were last seen publicly together on Dec. 9 in Los Angeles.

"He said he wasn't feeling it anymore and was uncomfortable with all the attention they got," says the insider of the just over two-month romance. "He also said he could feel the age difference. Taylor is really upset. We told her not to move so fast with this but she didn't listen."

Explains a Gyllenhaal insider, “Jake cares about her, but [the publicity] was a lot for him. He wants to keep his private life private, and that’s hard to do dating Taylor.”

Taylor's one time best friend, Kellie Pickler has happy news to report.  She is now Mrs. Kyle Jacobs! The country star married songwriter Kyle Jacobs on New Year's Day on a private island in the Caribbean. Married life seems to agree with Kellie.  She Tweeted, "Private Island. Caribbean. Cigar in one hand, Rum in the other. Someone just called me "Mrs. Jacobs."....sounds nice :)" Kyle popped the question June 15, the birthday of Kellie's deceased grandmother, making what would have been a sad day into one of the happiest days of the singer's life. "I remember saying to Kyle, 'Baby it's like I'm dreaming -- but if this isn't real, I'm going to be very upset!'" Kellie told People magazine. Kellie's new hubby shares co-writing credits on Garth Brooks' 'More Than a Memory,' Tim McGraw's 'Still' and has album cuts by Trace Adkins, Jo Dee Messina, Clay Walker and, of course, Kellie.
