Taylor Swift may turn most things she touches to gold, except selling magazines. The many loves of country crooner Taylor Swift may keep the gossip hounds interested, but as far as moving monthly magazines, she’s dead in the water. Taylor has the dubious distinction of being on the cover of Elle magazine’s worst selling issue of the year, with 60,000 fewer copies sold than a typical issue, according to research from the Audit Bureau of Circulations. Swift’s mug also failed to move many copies of Glamour or Marie Claire, as her covers were those magazines' second and third worst selling issues of the year, respectively. So why is that? “Taylor Swift doesn’t create the same kind of narrative that people love to follow, like say, Kim Kardashian,” pop culture expert and Daily Beast contributor Richard Rushfield says. “The days of being a nice person and just looking pretty on cover are behind us.”
It's been almost a year since Trace Adkins tour bus was involved in a fatal crash in Louisiana. Now, investigators have concluded the cause of the bus - pickup truck crash in February 2010 was driver fatigue on the part of the pick up truck driver. The report concludes that a Ford F-250 truck, carrying two men coming home from an all night session at a casino, crashed head-on into a tour bus carrying Trace Adkins' band in Caddo Parish, La. With a new baby in the house, Josh Turner really needs a quiet place he can go to write his next big hit song. And, now he has that place. Josh says that two years ago he began building a "writer's cottage" on his Nashville property. He designed it to be a place where he could write and be creative, away from any and all distractions. Josh says, "It took almost two years to get it finished. I just recently got permission to move into it. It's been a crazy process, but it turned out great. It's a beautiful place, and I can't wait to get in there and start writing some songs. That's basically going to be the main purpose for it is for me to get in there and write and get inspired and be creative. I think I'll be able to do that for a long time." He also joked that no children will be allowed in his private sanctuary.
