A really cool piece of country music memorabilia will be up for auction in Wichita Saturday night when KFDI and Prairie Rose Chuckwagon host a fundraiser for the Central Prairie Honor Flights. Orin Freisen says he has been sent something special for the live auction, "A while back I contacted Charlie Daniels about sending something for the Honor Flight auction. He said he would send something but I had no idea what it would be. He could have sent an autographed photo and I would have been happy. Instead he sent an autographed fiddle, including the case and bow." We have no estimate of what the fiddle may be worth, but hope that it will bring in a good amount of money to fly our World War II Veterans to Washington DC. Mike Fisher is being mentioned in trade rumours. And, the team that is interested in acquiring Carrie Underwood's husband is The Nashville Predators. Mike Fisher has two years left on his contract, at $4.2 million U.S. a year, and he doesn't have a no-trade clause. "It's one of those things that guys can't control," he said. Mike isn't all that crazy about the idea of trading away from the Ottawa Senators, "Obviously, I want to be here. I love the city. I'd love to play my whole career here. We'll just see what happens." Mike and Carrie just finished building a home in Ottawa.

Taylor Swift may have a loose lipped friend in her midst. The magazine US Weekly is reporting in it's latest edition that Taylor Swift met up with ex-flame Jake Gyllenhaal in a Nashville restaurant so the two could talk about their break up. They broke up last month, but Jake apparently wanted to clear the air. Where did US Weekly get that information? The story quote a "friend" of Taylor's as the "bean spiller." Among the juicy details, the person self-described as being "close" with Swift says the couple, "sat by the fireplace" and "were both smiling." "Taylor was nervous the whole time," said the source, described as "close" to Swift. The "friend" also is quoted as saying that Jake asked Taylor if she was the one who told the media that he had broken up with her over the phone and Taylor said she was not. Well, duh. Of course, she didn't. That "friend" probably took it upon themself to do it. Taylor may want to re-examine who her friends are these days.
