Craig Morgan used his skills as a former EMT, Army paratrooper and Sheriff's deputy to save a family from a house fire in Dickson, TN. on Sunday afternoon.  Reports say that Craig spotted the fire as he drove by the house and his instincts kicked in. He raced into the smoke-filled house and rescued two young children trapped inside. After firefighters arrived at the scene, they handed the singer a hose and he helped put out the flames. Because of Craig's lightning quick reflexes, the home suffered only minor damage and everyone in the house was safe and unharmed.

 

The members of Lady Antebellum want their country fans to know they are not abandoning country music in favor of a more mainstream pop career.  After winning five Grammy’s Sunday, two of them for coveted all genre Record and Song Of The Year for “Need You Now”, Hillary Scott was quick to plant the flag for country music, saying "It just shows that country music is relevant and relatable.”

 

 

It’s time to declare you income for Uncle Sam and even the stars have to file taxes.  We have the latest income figures for country music stars.  Taylor Swift is making more money than any other country artist, according to Billboard Magazine.  In their list of the top income-earners from 2010 (U.S. earnings only), Taylor earned a whopping $20,730,431 last year. Brad Paisley made $13,955,990, Carrie Underwood right behind him at $13,501,387 and Tim McGraw only a few thousand behind her with $13,494,737. Rascal Flatts made it into the Top 20, coming in at No. 16 with $11,958,021 but they have to split it 3 ways.  
 

Brad Paisley will kick off the new Nascar season at the Daytona 500 this Sunday. The  CMA Entertainer of the Year will sing three songs right before the 53rd annual Great American Race. race, Brad will also be behind the wheel of the official pace car -- a Chevrolet Camaro SS – to start the race. Watch it all on FOX, beginning at 11:00 AM CD (the race begins at 12noon).
 

 

 

It was a short stay at the top of the country charts for Chris Young, whose Voices made history as a #1 song last week, only the second time a re-released song has gone to the top.  This week it’s Luke Bryan's 'Someone Else Calling You Baby' that claims the #1 spot on both the Mediabase and Billboard country charts.  Blake Shelton's 'Who Are You When I'm Not Looking' is No. 2 on both charts, followed by Chris Young's 'Voices.'
