Justin Moore's bus caught fire while the singer and his band slept. The engine of the bus was engulfed in flames around 4:00 AM, as they stopped along the road traveling to Detroit Michigan. Thankfully, everyone is OK. Justin's concerts in Detroit have been plagued by problems. The last time he played a show their in March 2010, his Gibson J-45 guitar was stolen. "I thought they were playing a joke on me," Justin said. "Come to find out, a fan just walked on stage after the show and grabbed it." Luckily,the instrument was returned.
Wednesday night in Knoxville, Tennessee, Kenny Chesney rolled out the orange carpet for the premiere of his new football documentary, The Color Orange: The Condredge Holloway Story. Kenny narrates the film that documents the life and career of the University of Tennessee’s Condredge Holloway, the first starting African-American quarterback in the Southeastern Conference. Kenny explains what having Condredge Holloway as a childhood hero meant to him, “Condredge Holloway is the reason that I, and a lot of the guys you’re seein’ on this orange carpet, are the reasons that I love sports and am passionate about it in the first place.” The Color Orange will debut this Sunday, February 20th, at 7pm CT on ESPN.
Chris Young, the headliner for our 2011 KFDI Listener Appreciation Concert on March 26th, is feeling very fortunate right now and he’s working hard to live up to the support of everyone who believes in him. “It’s just like things keep gettin’ better and better. And obviously, you know, there’s a lot of work involved. There’s a lot of people that don’t get as much credit as they should that are behind the scenes doin’ stuff, whether it’s at the label or fans or country radio, and I’m just incredibly lucky right now, and just gonna try to put out as much good music as I can.”
Carrie Underwood has been tapped to sing with Tony Bennett on his second duets album, according to Hit Fix. The album, titled 'Duets 2' is a follow-up to Bennett's critically acclaimed, 2006 'Duets' album, which earned the then-80-year-old singer two Grammys. 'Duets 2' will be composed of jazz standards, including 'Stranger in Paradise,' which Bennett first recorded in 1955. The legendary crooner will also share the microphone with Amy Winehouse and Josh Groban for the album, which is scheduled to be released in September, a month following Bennett's 85th birthday.
