"We'll get lost on this dance floor, spinning around," Toby Keith sings in his mega-hit, 'You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This.' But we certainly never thought we'd ever see the day the big guy laces up his dancing shoes. OK, so he's not exactly doing the tango, but the country superstar has been tapped to sing on 'Dancing With the Stars,' performing two songs on the April 19 episode.

 

John Rich is the latest country star to appear on the NBC hit TV show, 'Celebrity Apprentice.' He was preceded by both Clint Black and Trace Adkins, who became a runner-up before losing to journalist and TV personality Piers Morgan in 2008. Apparently, the show's creator and host, business mogul Donald Trump, was unaware of Trace's lengthy -- and legendary -- music career before he appeared on 'Apprentice,' and tried to claim ownership of most of Trace's success. "I said, 'Well, actually he was multi-platinum before he came on your show," John recalls . "He goes, 'No, no. Trace Adkins, he was basically no one.'"

Local Taylor Swift fans need to cross their fingers that the country superstar will come back to Wichita when she announces 16 new dates on her Speak Now World tour 2011. She will announce the specific dates in the next few weeks.  We're told that fan demand prompted Taylor to expand the trek so that she will now headline 78 shows in 63 different cities in the U.S. and Canada.

 

 

Eric Church and wife of three years, Katherine, are expecting their first child this fall. "Katherine and I are very excited and are looking forward to becoming parents," reports the dad-to-be. "This year has gotten off to an amazing start for us, and this news has made it so much better than we could have ever anticipated." 

 

 

Sara Evans is asking her hubby Jay Barker to let her hire a surrogate.  The couple already has 7 kids between them, but Sara would like to make it an even 8. There’s only one problem…the being pregnant part. “I’ve just gotta figure out the right time because I despise pregnancy. And I’m begging Jay to let us hire a surrogate, but he’s not comfortable with that.”… “I could, like, continue to drink wine and be skinny and have fun and then all of a sudden have this beautiful baby,” she joked. Sara’s even offered family members a cool $20,000 to carry a baby for her, but so far there are no takers.

Sugarland will take the stage with a very special guest at next month's Academy of Country Music Awards first-ever Fan Jam.  Rihanna will duet with the duo's Jennifer Nettles on a "country-tinged version" of 'California King Bed.' The song is from the R&B/pop sensation's latest album, 'Loud.'  This is not the first time Sugarland have crossed the format line. They performed with Beyoncé at the 2007 American Music Awards on her hit, 'Irreplaceable.'


Garth Brooks offering some marriage advice to engaged couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. Hmmm...not sure Garth is qualified.  He is once divorced from the mother of his children, Sandy.  He has been married to Trisha Yearwood five years.  But, it IS Garth. So we will indulge him.  Garth offers up this advice, "If you are going to talk to anybody about anything, talk to your spouse," Garth says. "That's it. No matter what. Even if it's about your spouse, it's all about communication. That's the secret."
