Naomi and Wynonna Judd didn’t look “fighting mad”, as one family insider had described them, when they sat on the couch on The View and talked about the book written by the younger Judd sister, Ashley.  Naomi Judd even admitted that Ashley may have been neglected while she built her singing career with older daughter, Wynonna. But she also said that she loves both of her daughters, “I adore my daughter. These two girls and my husband, of course, Larry, are the joy of my life and I support Ashley.” Wynonna added that it was Ashley’s turn to have a voice, “We all have three different realities of the same car ride to the nightmares we were in.”

Trace Adkins is bringing Glee to the Grand Ol Opry Friday night.  Not the tv show.  No Trace is bringing the West Point Glee Club to the Grand Ole Opry stage  along with soldiers from the Nashville chapter of Wounded Warriors, whom he has invited to attend the performance.  The evening will also mark Trace's first public performance of his latest single. "'Just Fishin', a song about a father going fishing with his little girl, and she thinks it's just fishin', but it's about much more than that," Trace tells The Boot. "I've taught all my girls to fish, and it's about the lessons that you learn from teaching your children to fish. It's the time that you spend together doing it."

Miranda won the final Grammy award for Best Female Country Vocalist. There will no longer be a Country Female Vocalist Grammy, or a Male Vocalist Grammy awarded.  The Recording Academy announced Thursday that they are going to merge both awards into a unisex “Best Country Solo Performance” Grammy.  Country is not being singled out.  The Grammy‘s are eliminating 31 categories spread throughout all genres of music.  Now instead of seven award categories, country will have four. The country award categories will now be Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Duo/Group Performance, Best Country Song and Best Country Album.

Carrie Underwood makes her movie debut today playing the part of youth counselor Sarah Hill in the movie ‘Soul Surfer’, the story of Bethany Hamilton who lost her arm in a shark attack while surfing.  The movie is getting good critical reviews for it’s spiritual content.  And early reviews say Carrie holds her own among the more experienced actors in the movie.

Carrie was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno Wednesday night to talk about the movie, and of course the subject of husband Mike Fisher came up. Now that he is living full time in Nashville, Carrie says she has learned about her husband, "He loves watching UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship.) He watches it constantly. She says he tapes all the fights and watches them over and over and over.  Right now Carrie calls herself “UFC’d out.”
