Money was behind Tim McGraw dropping out of a co-starring role in Denzel Washington’s next film called 'Safe House.' Tim says, "I had to back out because we had all signed up to get ready to do the movie and we all had our schedules and when my tour was going to start. And then, as movies do, it kept being moved back and back.” The movie would have been filmed in South Africa and Tim would have had to cancel or reschedule 28 stops on his Emotional Traffic tour. “The numbers for what they would pay me to do this movie, and the numbers for what I would make and what it would cost to do 28 shows were no where in the same ballpark. So, I had to back out of the movie; times are tough, man!"
Peggy Joyce was in the right place at the right time. The stay-at-home Ohio mom happened to be hanging out on Twitter Wednesday when LeAnn Rimes announced she’d just done some spring cleaning. “3 SOLID hours of closet organization,” the country star Tweeted, sharing photos of her newly arranged clothing and accessories. “Everyone has a vice….mine are shoes and handbags :)” So Joyce chimed in. “anything u want to donate to me? From OH and lost job and have a 16 month old. Bad year..I will pay for shipping. Thanks!! XO” After a few Tweets back and forth about logistics, Rimes announced that she’d pulled some items for the struggling mom. “I have a few pair of flip flops for the summer and tennis shoes in your size….hope it helps.”
Rascal Flatts is being sued by their former management group, Turner Nichols & Associates. The company filed a complaint last week in a Tennessee court seeking commission from deals that they negotiated while representing the band, including tours through 2013, tour sponsorships, their recent ABC-TV special, and DVD. “We are disappointed they have chosen to file as we had hoped to address these issues privately, however we hope that this can be resolved amicably,” the band said in a statement last week. Rascal Flatts’ summer tour, which Turner Nichols negotiated, will kick off in June.
