The Grand Ole Opry will mark the one year anniversary of the flood that devastated much of nashville and displaced the Opry from the Grand Ole Opry House.  A star studded concert is planned for May 3rd starring Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan and Charlie Daniels Band.  More acts may be added as the week goes on.

 

Blake Shelton brought humor and fun to the new talent show The Voice on NBC, debuting Tuesday night.  Blake is one of four mentors/coaches on the show, that only allows the coaches to hear the contestants and not see them before deciding if they should go on in the competition.  Each coach will assemble their own team to mentor.  Blake picked 4 of his 7 team members last night.  NBC will replay the debut episode tonight (Wednesday, 4/27.)

 

 

Blake Shelton will release his new album July 12th.  This will be Blake's ninth album and it includes his fastest rising single to date, Honey Bee.  Blake says of the album, "I can't wait for people to hear the record; I have found some of the best songs of my career." 

 

 

Why is Leann Rimes wearing 3 wedding bands?  The jeweler who designed the singer's wedding rings says she specifically asked for a design that would symbolize the important of the three new men in her life.  She married Eddie Cibrian Friday, April 22nd and became a stepmother to his two sons, 7 yr old Mason and 4 year old Jake.

 

 

Carrie Underwood knows what Prince William and his future bride, Kate, should do on Friday.  Carrie was asked to give the royal couple a piece of advice about their wedding day.  Carrie says, "Your wedding day goes by so fast. You spend all this time planning and then just like that it's over."  She says the couple, and anyone getting married, needs to take it all in and have fun.
