Toby Keith has some harrowing stories about his latest USO Tour. He says he was about to take the stage at one base last week, in Iraq, when the base came under mortar attack. He tweeted some pictures back and says that the show went on. He tweeted that four mortars hit nearby as he was about to perform and they had to wait in bunkers until they got the "all clear."
John Rich is releasing new music on May 17. Not one, but two Six Paks of music. And they are in high contrast to each other. The first is a high energy collection called "Rich Rocks" and the second is a sweet tribute to the patients and their families at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital called "For The Kids." A portion of the proceeds from For the Kids will go directly to support the hospital. By contrast, John lets lose on "Rich Rocks" featuring duets with Hank Williams, Jr., Kid Rock and his Celebrity Apprentice co-contestant Lil Jon.
Keith Urban has personally offered up a reward for the return of a chair that was stolen from outside the "Urban Style" hair salon in Wisconsin. The hand shaped fiberglass chair was adorned with photos of Keith Urban. Someone unbolted the chair from a concrete block outside the salon. When Keith heard the news, he called the owner and offered up a pair of tickets and VIP backstage passes to any stop on his "Get Closer World Tour" to the first person who provides information that leads to the return of the chair to the salon.
Lady Antebellum will perform their new single "Just A Kiss" on the results show on American Idol Thursday night on FOX (7pm CT.)
America learns the fate of Scotty McCreery on American Idol this week. Will the country singer survive to be in the final four? Wednesday he sang Montgomery Gentry's "Gone" as his first song. The other country flavored contestant on the show is Lauren Alaina, who sang a Carrie Underwood song.
Shania Twain says she can't sing. Literally, she can't sing. She revealed this week that she has a condition called disphonia, which closes off the vocal cords. Shania wants to sing again. She says that is why she is out on a tour to talk about her break up from ex-husband Mutt Lange. She feels if she releases the feelings inside her, the muscles around her vocal cords will relax and she will be able to perform in public again. Shania's book "From This Moment On" is out now, plus her reality show "Why Not?" debuts on OWN this Sunday at 10pm (CT.)
