Blake Shelton is warning his new neighbors that he might get a little rowdy over the next month. Blake has rented a home in LA, where he will live while he appears on the live episodes of the NBC hit series, 'The Voice.' Being an outdoorsy guy, Blake says he may get on his neighbors nerves, "I'll probably *** some people off when they catch me in the yard shooting pigeons and squirrels and stuff, because I know there's a lot of tree-huggers out there.” Starting this week The Voice will air live with the audience having the last say on which contestant stays and which one goes home. Catch all the action on Tuesday (June 7) beginning at 9:00 PM CT.
Trace Adkins Brentwood, Tennessee home burned Saturday afternoon (June 4) . Firefighters are calling the home a "total loss." Trace's three youngest daughters and their nanny were home at the time of the fire, but they made it out safely. Neither Trace nor his wife Rhonda Adkins was home at the time of the fire. Brentwood Fire Chief Brian Goss says the fire may have started in the garage, but the exact cause of the blaze is not known. Trace did have many of his awards and special memoribilia in the home. Restoration specialists were allowed inside the home to save what they could after the fire was brought under control.
Both 'American Idol' winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina now have record deals. Both signed with Mercury Nashville and will soon release their debut albums. It’s the same label that is also home to Sugarland, Easton Corbin, Billy Currington and Jamie Johnson.
Lauren Alaina says one of the highlights of her time on American Idol was getting a gift from Carrie Underwood. "She got me this necklace from Tiffany's that says my name on it and then 'Love C.U.' on the back," Lauren reveals. "I want to get her some dog clothes [in return]." Carrie has said that she also gave Lauren her cell phone number with an invitation to call it anytime she needs help or support while she makes her way into Nashville.
Dierks Bentley’s passion for hockey will be very evident in his next music video. The NHL and Dierks have put together a full length music video featuring his latest single “Am I The Only One”! The video features live concert footage of Dierks and crew on the road, as well as some action from some of the top NHL teams. However, it doesn’t show Dierks playing hockey, which he does weekly when at his home in Nashville. Dierks plays Left Wing and sports the number 7 jersey for the Nashville Iceholes during his downtime.
Shania Twain is just one week away from a comeback on the music scene. Oprah Winfrey Network viewers will experience the world premiere of the first new single in six years from country/pop superstar Shania Twain during the finale episode of “Why Not? with Shania Twain” airing Sunday, June 12 at 9 p.m. The song, “Today Is Your Day” will then be available on iTunes immediately following the tv premier. It’s the first song Shania has written solo in six years. Shania will also share some moments from her wedding to Frederic Thiebaud through never-before-seen wedding footage from the Bahamas. Shania will also show footage during recording of a duet of “Endless Love” with superstar Lionel Richie, she reflects on the journey that has brought her to this point in her life.
