Keith Urban did something he’s never done before.  He allowed the public to watch a dress  rehearsal for his “Get Closer” tour, which opens later this month and comes through Wichita on August 16th.  Keith said he was nervous about allowing the public to see the blunders, mess ups and do-overs.  Keith’s new stage set up is circular with ramps all around for easy access into the crowd. There is also a mid-arena satelite stage that raises in the air so everyone can see Keith perfectly. 
 

Shania Twain is back!  Shania was honored during the CMA Music Festival as the top selling female artist in country music, for reaching worldwide sales of 75 million units.  Shania has released her first song in years.  The song, "Today Is Your Day", is now available on iTunes.  Shania says it was a song she wrote as she was talking herse lf through the tough times over the past couple of years. 

 

 

Keith Urban has the #1 song on the country charts with the song "Without You."  Keith is revealing that he has named the Fender Telecaster he's had for 22 years "Clarence." Keith explained in a recent interview, "I called it that after the angel in It's a Wonderful Life [because] I wondered what life would be like without that guitar."  Keith will have his favorite guitar and many more along with him when his Get Closer World Tour kicks off June 16th in Biloxi, Mississippi.  Of course, we will see "Clarence" on August 16 at Wichita's Intrust Bank Arena.

Blake Shelton will release his ninth album on July 12. Produced by multi-award winner Scott Hendricks, the forthcoming album will include Shelton’s single, “Honey Bee.” “There are so many things I’m excited to share with everyone this year,” said Shelton. “I can’t wait for people to hear the record; I have found some of the best songs of my career..”

 

 

 

Trace Adkins has gone Hollywood again apparently.  Trace's IMDB profile has revealed two new movies that he's tied to - the first he's already shooting the Wyatt Earp Movie. The first is "The First Ride of Wyatt Earp" where Trace plays the unfortunately-named Milflin Kenedy. Val Kilmer plays the title character, Wyatt Earp. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert stole away for a few days for a super top-secret honeymoon at pal Reba McEntire’s vacation villa outside of Cancun, Mexico, according to the newlywed’s rep. Before jetting off to McEntire’s Mexican estate, the duo did escape for a more rustic kind of mini-honeymoon, they went back to their Tishomongo, Oklahoma ranch for some fishing.
