Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott is engaged! reports musician Chris Tyrell popped the question over the holiday weekend. "Chris proposed exactly the way I’ve always dreamed," Hillary told People. "Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!" Tyrell and Scott have not set a wedding date yet.
James Wesley was thrilled when he found out that he would spend two weeks of his summer opening for . However, he wasn't nearly as excited as his 8-year-old daughter, Emily. "I am soon to be the greatest dad in the world," James told The Boot prior to his first show on the Speak Now World Tour. "We're playing Knoxville, and Emily doesn't know it yet, but we've got her backstage so she can meet Taylor. She will be very surprised." Emily isn't the only younger Wesley who's looking forward to tour, though. "Her older brother, my son Braden, he won't admit it but I know without him telling me that he thinks Taylor's cute," James reveals. "He won't say anything, though. He's real quiet about the whole thing. He's 10, so he's at that age where it's awkward."
The boys will travel separately from the girls as the American Idol tour kicks off Wednesday night (7/6) in Salt Lake City, Utah. Scotty McCreery will be the headliner as the winner of season 10. The American Idol tour management says they have separated the girls on one bus and the boys on another as they travel city to city for the tour.
