Speaking of politics, Taylor Swift will allow politicians to hold fundraisers at her Washington DC concerts this week (Tuesday and Wednesday, August 2nd & 3rd.) But she is not taking sides. Both Republican and Democrat Congressman and Senators will be on site to fund raise at the shows, which are both sold out. So far, seven political fundraisers are scheduled.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned! Miranda Lambert, Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe are giving us a glimpse of everyday life as an Annie in the video for their debut single, "Hell on Heels.' On her decision to join the side project, Miranda shares, "I figured if I get tired of singing by myself, I might as well have some hot women up here on stage with me!" Luke Bryan's new Top 10 single, 'Country Girl (Shake It for Me),' implores women to shake what God gave them. So, how does the song sit with Luke's wife of 5 years, Caroline? "She loves it, because it's about my music and, she's heard all this music before anybody else," Luke tells . "With 'Country Girl,' she obviously knew what the video was going to have to be. You had to have pretty girls dancing and shaking." Luke credits his wife with much of his success. "She has to let me go on the road and write and let me be gone to figure out how to write and record and sing these songs and perform them, so it's certainly a two-way street. My successes are our successes."
What has Toby Keith done every year for the past 7 years? Release a studio album is what! Toby Keith will release his 15th studio album on October 25th, making it seven years in a row that Toby has put out a full studio album. The album will be called 'Clancy's Tavern,' after his grandmother's nightclub. Toby says the title track is about his days as a young boy helping out at the tavern. The first single from Clancy's Tavern is already a chart climber. Made In America was released right after Toby sang it on the CMT Music Awards.
Another Tim McGraw movie comes out this Friday (8/5.) Tim and Dwight Yoakam both star in the movie “Dirty Girl." The film is based in 1987, and follows an OKLAHOMA high school girl with a promiscuous reputation, who leaves home to search for her father she never met. What part does Tim play in the film. A small but very pivotal role according to Tim. “I can’t really say [what it is] because it’ll give away too much of the story,” he says. “But it’s a really, really good movie.”
