CMT has named Alan Jackson the top man in country music. Alan earned the top spot after fans voted to rank the men of country music for a new special, What's Your 20? 20 Greatest Men, 20 Years, which debuted Wednesday (Aug. 10) on CMT.  George Strait placed second on the list, just ahead of Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban. Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean and Garth Brooks round out the Top 10. Read more here

Two of country music's finest are joining the fight to save starving people in East Africa. Carrie Underwood and Shania Twain have joined the campaign to raise money for Save the Children's East Africa cause. They will each post a short film on their Facebook and Twitter pages of the urgent crisis. The goal is to reach one billion people, and raise millions of dollars to send food and financial aid to the more than ten million individuals who are starving in East Africa.

Toby Keith has launched the website for his new beverage, a Mezcall called Wild Shot. Toby fans, mezcal drinkers and those who are both can get recipes and submit photos of themselves with their own bottle of Wild Shot. "Blame It On The Worm" is Wild Shot's slogan, and there's a photo of Toby with a worm pinched between smiling teeth adorning the homepage at www.wildshot.com.  Since it's introduction a couple months ago, Toby's Wild Shot Mezcal is quickly becoming the leading brand in one of the fastest growing beverage market segments.

After her album Revolution helped her win the ACM and CMA Album of the Year awards, Miranda Lambert is getting excited about the release of her next album, Four The Record. “I’m up to four records! This is my fourth record. I’m so excited for the fans to hear it. I’m excited that ‘Baggage Claim’ is the first single. But just like Revolution, not one song represents the whole album. There’s so many different kinds of music on Four the Record, and I’m so excited for it to get out there to the people” Miranda says.  The number in the title is important to Miranda, “Four is a big number. Four’s a big birthday for albums. I’m very excited to have made it this far.”  Another number is also important...the number one.  Miranda will release the album on 1-11-11.

Blake SheltonBlake Shelton reportedly made $75,000 an episode on this year's breakout hit show, The Voice. Blake's pay is relatively meager pay compared to the other coach on the show, Christina Aguilera, who made $225,000 an episode. This comes from TV Guide.  Aguilera makes nearly $2 million more than Blake on the show.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood's duet, “Remind Me,” is climbing the charts.  Brad shared that he was inspired to write the duet the way he did listening to some rap artists.  Rap artists?  Brad explains, Brad: “I’m kind of jealous of the way that Kanye or Eminem can take somebody and say, ‘Here’s what I want you to say.’ And they’re a character…" Brad says it's like writing a song for a singer named “Kanye Twitty…”  “Remind Me” is the newest blockbuster from Brad’s album, This Is Country Music.
