The wait is almost over. Lady Antebellum release their new album, Own the Night, September 13th. The group has been working on the collection since the beginning of the year, and Hillary Scott says they’re looking forward to hearing what fans have to think about it. We’ve been working on it since the beginning of this year and have put our heart and soul into it and are just really excited to see what people think." Lady A’s Dave Haywood hopes fans can tell that the three members have grown as friends for their third album, "We just feel like we’ve grown closer as friends, and musically, we know each other a lot better. And really, everything has been moving in a positive direction with us personally as friends, and then together writing songs and performing.
Jake Owen will reach the top of the country singles chart with “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” when the charts are released later this week. Jake’s new album of the same name, could also reach the top of the charts when the album sales are compiled. “It’s somethin’ I worked really hard on for the last year of my life,” Jake says. “Took time to really sit back and find out what I wanted to say on the new record, what kind of songs I wanted to put on there. And now that it’s out, and people have the opportunity to hear what I’ve been workin’ on for a year, I’m…it’s just an exciting feeling to know that there’s a lot to build on from this record over the next couple years.”
Warner Brothers plans to begin filming a remake of the movie "A Star Is Born" in February, but they need both a leading man and a leading actress. Initially, Leonardo DiCaprio was offered the role played by Kris Kristofferson in the 1976 version opposite of Barbra Streisand. But word has it, Leo has turned down the role. Rumor has it, there's interest in Tim McGraw for the role and that some initial inquiries have been made to him. Tim has hinted on his answer. Oh, and he would need a leading lady. Beyonce' was all set to play Barbra's part, but she is pregnant and her baby is due in February, just when filming would begin. By the way, the A Star Is Born remake is being produced by Clint Eastwood.
Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker have both earned platinum singles in August for reaching 1 million digital downloads. Luke's "Country Girl (Shake It for Me)" is his first platinum record. Meanwhile, Rucker's "Alright" is his first platinum single as a solo country artist. The track comes from his debut country album, Learn to Live.
