Reba is keeping in touch with her Tweebas. Those are her followers on Twitter. Recently Reba answered questions from fans on Twitter. We learned that she loves corn dogs at the fair, she uses the Vanity Mark Eye Lash Curler, and her father is doing great after recovering from his recent stroke. We will finally learn when tickets go on sale for Reba's concert here in Wichita in November. The on sale information will be released Friday morning right here on this show. Jake Owen is on top of the country charts for the first time in his career. His single, Barefoot Blue Jean Night, climbed to the #1 spot on the Media Base chart. The Billboard chart numbers will be released today.
Jake will be on ABC's Good Morning America this morning announcing the nominees for the CMA's. He and the members of The Band Perry will announce half of the award nominees this morning in New York. The remainder of the nominees will be announced later in the morning by Jerrod Neimann and Thompson Square.
While we wait for the CMA nominations, we can tell you that Carrie Underwood, Justin Moore, Josh Turner and Lady Antebellum are among the nominees for the 16th annual Inspirational Country Music awards. Carrie was nominated as Inspirational Country Artist of the year along with Josh Turner. Plus she got a nod for the video to Mama's Song. Justin was nominated for song and video for "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away" and Lady A received a nomination for their video for "Hello World."
One country song has made the top 10 "Worst Songs Of The 90's" list in the latest edition of Rolling Stone magazine. Billy Ray Cyrus'. 'Achy Breaky Heart' landed at #3 on the list. It was the only country song to make the list. Just so we can recall why it might have made that list, here is a video of Billy Ray (mullet and all) performing the song:
