Blake Shelton finally did a duet with Miranda Lambert and made it the title track for his new album "Red River Blue." But it looks like the song won't be released as a single. He told AOL.com, "I never realized until the last couple of years, (that) when you're not on the same label as another artist and you record together, it almost takes a miracle. It's a thousand wonders that it worked out with 'Hillbilly Bone', because looking back, TRACE (ADKINS) probably knew he was leaving his label and then everything worked out where it could be a single." Blake is with Warner Music Nashville. Miranda is signed to Sony Music Nashville.
A published story this week says Tim McGraw became an "agitated tyrant" who fired five members of his band, the Dancehall Doctors. The National Enquirer quotes a source close to the band saying, "During the middle of the (Emotional Traffic) tour, he turned into a tyrant. He seemed agitated all the time, he was short-tempered, and he demanded an almost impossible level of perfection. Nobody really had any idea what had triggered such a drastic change in his personality." That was just about the time Tim's record company, Curb, filed a lawsuit against him for not delivering on his contract to do a final album for the company before they part company.
If you are going to pass out while singing a song, might as well do it in a room full of doctors. Randy Travis was singing for The Crystal Heart Gala, an annual benefit for the Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas when he passed out mid-song. The 52- year-old "was overcome by a combination of dehydration, over-the-counter allergy medications, and caffeine use,” according to a spokesperson for Randy. He's ok. Several doctors in the room came to his aid and Randy walked off stage on his own. He is taking the doctdors' advice and is taking a few days off to rest. He'll resume his tour this weekend.

Alan Jackson is pretty much finished with his new album. "I always just say it's more of the same," Alan says. "I try to find good songs or write some. I think we got a good bunch of material together." When asked why he's been able to thrive at the top of the country heap for so long, Alan admits, "I don't know. I wished I knew what the ingredient was." Alan tries to keep his fans in mind for every song. He says, "I think that's probably what might help your career last a little bit longer is just making music for the real people." A release date and title for Alan's new album has not been announced yet.
