Martina McBride's new CD Eleven is officially out today. And there are lots of questions surrounding when Martina will bring her "Eleven Across America" train through Newton this week. Here is what we can tell you. Martina McBride is releasing her new cd, Eleven, on Tuesday 10/11/11.
The train left LA Monday and is making stops in 11 cities along the way, including Newton, KS. Because of Homeland Security regulations, the train's itinerary cannot be announced more than a few hours before the scheduled day and time it is scheduled to arrive. We will send all KFDI VIP Club members an email with the details of when the train will be arriving in Newton.
The new remake of the movie Footloose opens this Friday so the media blitz will be big this week. To start it all off, BLAKE SHELTON will perform "Footloose" on Tuesday's "Dancing with the Stars" results show. And, Julianne Hough will return to DWTS for a one time only dance. Julianne stars in the movie.
Scotty McCreery is on track this week to become the first American Idol champ since 2003 to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with a debut album. Industry insiders think Scotty's project, Clear as Day, will move between 160,000 and 170,000 copies this week to claim the top spot.
ELLEN DEGENERES wanted to see if Scotty McCreery's manly voice would get squeaky after inhaling helium. So she brought some out a hellium balloon and had him breath it in to see what would happen. Watch the video below:
Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush of Sugarland are ready to go back to Indiana, after the tragedy this summer at the Indiana State Fair. And, this time they will do a free concert. The concert won't be at the fairgrounds but rather at Conseco Fieldhouse on October 28th. This will be the final stop on Sugarland’s 2011 Incredible Machine Tour.
Toby Keith is ready for National Mezcal Day, October 21st. The campaign includes a countdown clock posted at www.wildshot.com, the website for Toby's brand of Mezcal. There is also a contest offering autographed copies of his new CD, Clancy's Tavern, to the most active Wild Shot Facebook and Twitter contributors now through Oct. 22.
Kenny Chesney was inspired to write his latest single after a visit to the dentist. His new single, “Reality”, is about finding your own ways to escape the stresses of real life. Kenny says, “Everybody has their way of getting away from it, whether it’s…for me, it’s a beach bar, on a boat underneath the stars, or with my band on a stage, even though that is our reality, but it’s a great part of our reality. You know, everybody’s got their way to escape reality. And that song, and the idea, that premise, was started, I swear, with me sitting in a dentist chair.”
Reba will shoot a TV pilot for the new sitcom Malibu Country next spring, and there's an interesting story behind how she got the lead role. Her stepson, Brandon Blackstock, was on a flight with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, the producer of the sitcom. Dave told Brandon about the idea without knowing who Brandon's famous stepmom was. The Show will be aout a mother of three trying to revive her country singing career. Malibu Country is tied to ABC and would start filming next August if it's picked up.
American Idol runner up Lauren Alaina will release her debut album, Wildflower, today(October 11.) Lauren has been rehearsing the new songs on the album with her new band. "It's so cool how different it is live. Like, a live band," Lauren tells ABC News Radio. "It brings, like, a whole different energy to it. It pumps me up. I really love it."
Lauren will be on the morning show with Brian & Kellie between 8a an 9a Wednesday morning.
