They are both singers and songwriters and now they are inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame by the Nashville Songwriter's Association International.  Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Alan Jackson and Kimberly Perry (of The Band Perry) were all inducted.  The big award was given to Taylor for Artist Of The Year. 

 

 

Taylor Swift has been working overtime on her next album.  She may have been working too much. She already has enough songs recorded for a double album. Taylor said, "(I've) already recorded 25 songs, and we have a year to go! I've been writing so much more in the first part of this recording process than I did last time." Since Taylor works nonstop, she was asked how she finds the time to knock out so much music. Turns out it's late at night. "Being so busy there's not a lot of time to stop in the middle of the day. And when you get inspiration it's like four in the morning and you're in a hotel room and there's nobody to call."

The Band Perry will perform Tuesday night on the results show for this week's Dancing With The Stars. 

Kellie Pickler makes her acting debut Tuesday night on the new "90210" on the CW.  She will be playing the singing cousin of one of the show's characters, Austin.

 

 

Scotty McCreery will sing the National Anthem at game one of the World Series Wednesday night.  Scotty is a self-proclaimed "baseball junkie" who says he is excited to be a part of the World Series.  Scotty played the position of pitcher on his high school baseball team in Garner, NC.

 

 

 

 

Blake Shelton has his 10th number one single.  This week's top song on the country singles chart is "God Gave Me You."  It's Blake's fastest rising single of his career so far.  Blake is appreciative, "I appreciate everyone's hard work and dedication these last few years and am glad it has happened to me now."  

 

 

 

Keith Urban is pretty sure he would be pretty bad as an actor. He may have the looks and name recognition to be a movie star. But he doesn't have the acting chops. Keith says, "If I thought I would be good at it, I'd love to do it. But if I think I might suck at something, then I'm terrified to even attempt it. So that's the real answer." Keith also likes being in control of his destiny, so putting his talents in the hands of other people just doesn't work for him. He says, quote, "What I love about my job is I get to follow my creative vision all the way to the end.
