If this is true, it'll be HUGE. According to Country Aircheck, TIM MCGRAW and KENNY CHESNEY are recording a DUET together. We don't know the name of the song or when it'll be out. Wait, there's more. Kenny and Tim are rumoured to be launching a tour together sometime next year. Again, this is not official, but an announcement is supposed to come any day now.
Miranda Lambert is breaking records…..with “Four The Record.” The album debuts at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart making her the first country artist in the 47 year history of the chart to have each of her four albums debut at #1. Miranda remarked, “Ok, that’s crazy! When you start out you want to blaze your own trail and set your goals and I always worry about living up to the standard I set for myself. But I hope it says to every artist who is starting out that if you really go with your heart and stick to your guns and feel okay with exercising your creative license, it will all end up great because you are doing what you believe in.”
According to Bloomberg News this morning, Sony Corp. is looking to acquire Scott Borchetta’s Big Machine Label Group for more than $200 million. Big Machine handles Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Reba and many others.
Country superstar Carrie Underwood reveals something she will never do. Carrie revealed to TV Guide that she loses respect for artists who show their politics, “There is someone I do support, but I don’t support publicly. I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate.” She explains. “I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to. Music is where you go to get away from all the BS.”
If you were paying attention Wednesday night during the CMA Awards you may have noticed that Lady Antebellum’s Dave Haywood brought a date to the show. It’s one of the first times Dave has shown up with a beautiful girl on his arm. He now tells us that he is in a serious relationship with a girl he has been good friends with for the past five years. Dave told "People", quote, "I feel so lucky that our long friendship has grown into this relationship. We are totally comfortable and ourselves with each other."
