The Band Perry are in high demand after their amazing CMA week.  They will be featured on Christmas in Washington airing Dec. 16 on TNT. The concert is attended each year by the president and first lady. It will be taped Dec. 11 at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.

 

 

Rodney Atkins will perform at the 2011 National Christmas Tree Lighting festivities on Thursday, Dec. 1 in Washington, D.C. No TV coverage has been scheduled but the ceremony can be viewed live online at www.thenationaltree.org beginning at 4:30 p.m. eastern.

 

 

Who Said "You know what? I drink alcohol and always will until I die and I don't care if you like it or not."? That would be Blake Shelton, answering a question about his "drunk tweets." Blake went on to say "I feel like if I'm a country artist, my job is to lay my heart and soul on the line . . . and my heart and soul is being a redneck and drinking and being stupid. That's what I do."

Blake Shelton will headline the Coca-Cola Racing Family Concert at NASCAR Championship Drive tomorrow (Thursday) at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Miami Beach. Hunter Hayes will be the featured guest. The free concert will help kick-off the NASCAR Champion Drive event festivities. The Sprint Cup Champion will be crowned this weekend after the final race of the season in Homestead, Florida.

The kids on “Glee” will sing about the benefits of the red Solo drinking cup. The episode with Toby Keith's song featured was first scheduled for this week, but Toby’s spokeswoman says “Red Solo Cup” will be featured on an episode of “Glee” that’ll air early next month. The video for “Red Solo Cup,” has been seen three million times online. Fans at Keith’s Locked & Loaded Tour shows have recently refused to stop singing the song after Toby finishes his performance of it. In fact, Keith has had to perform the song twice at several shows to satisfy the crowds.


When country singer Whitney Duncan left for the South Pacific last May to compete on 'Survivor,' she had a secret husband.  Now she has a boyfriend she met while taping the TV Show and a not so secret husband, who she is divorcing. After rumors of a "secret marriage" hit the Internet, the truth came out that Whitney had married a musician named Donny Fallgatter, the lead singer of Kingbilly. But according to People magazine, Whitney was granted a divorce on November 8th, just a few weeks after she returned to the states on the arm of fellow Survivor castmember Keith Tollefson. 'Survivor: South Pacific' airs on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM on CBS. Whitney is still in the running for the grand prize, while her new man was voted off in the Nov. 2 episode.

Shania Twain's stalker is now a free man. Giovanni Palumbo was let out of jail on the condition that he stays at least a half kilometer from the country singer. (I can't do metric conversion, but I guess that is like a mile or something right?)  Palumbo was arrested in March after showing up at the Canadian Juno awards with cards for Shania.  That broke a previous restraining order. Shania testified via video in September that she has never met the man who claims the two are “meant to be.”
