New Music from Carrie Underwood: While things were pretty quiet for Carrie Underwood in 2011, 2012 is shaping up to be a busy year for the superstar. Underwood is set to release a new single in early 2012 and a new album to follow later in the year. Since it’s been more than two years since she released her last studio album, Play On, we are more than ready for new music from Underwood…how about you?
Tim McGraw's "Emotional Traffic" album is finally coming out January 24th. But it's Tim's former record label, Curb Records, who will be releasing it. It's the album that is at the heart of the lawsuits between Tim and Curb Records. Tim is tipping his hat to the release. He said when it was finished that it was the ‘best ever’ creative effort in his more than three decades of hit music. The album has 12 tracks, including the #1 single, Felt Good On My Lips and Tim's current single, Better Than I Used To Be.
Taylor Swift has auditioned for another big screen movie roll. This time she is hoping to get a part in a movie version of Les Misérables. She has some stiff competition for the role. Also up for the part of "Eponine" is Glee's Lea Michele and Scarlet Johansson. Already, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Geoffrey Rush are a part of the movie.
The Band Perry is looking forward to singing the National Anthem Friday night for the Cotton Bowl at Cowboy Stadium in Dallas. The game pits the Kansas State Wildcats against Arkansas.
Keith Urban is about to start his stint as a judge and mentor on the hit reality competition show, 'The Voice.' Don't panic Blake Shelton fans. He isn't replacing Blake. Keith is a part of the Australian version of The Voice. Different versions of 'The Voice' air in thirty different countries, with Australia being the latest added to the worldwide mix.
