Keith Urban's voice is back.  The people of Texas will be the first to hear Keith sing, after being on weeks of complete vocal rest after surgery to remove polyps from his vocal chords last November. Keith will perform at a fundraiser in Austin, Texas for the Beyond Batten Disease Foundation on February 10th.  The next night Keith will sing again at the Rodeo and Stock Show in San Antonio.

 

 

Reba McEntire is getting her umbrella and raincoat ready as she starts packing to head to London for the International Festival of Country Music. This is a one-day festival in Wembley Arena. And, Reba will be making her first appearance in the UK in 12 years. She said: "The last time we performed there was in 1999! " Why go overseas now?  Reba says it's simply, she was asked to play.  The International Festival of Country Music will take place at Wembley Arena on February 26, 2012. After the Wembley show, the festival will then move to Belfast, Zurich and Germany.


Taylor Swift is working out the details of her upcoming 2012 Tour and she is doing a lilttle daydreaming about it. Taylor says, "It’s such a fun, daydreaming job to have,” she explained, detailing why she loves what she does. “You spend so much of your time planning and daydreaming about the future, and it’s a blast to get to call that a career.”  Taylor is currently writing songs for her new album, also expected in 2012.



Blake Shelton would be happy to punch someone out for Kelly Clarkson, who caused a stir last week when she announced her support of Texas Congressman Ron Paul on her Twitter account.  She was inundated with remarks from fans who disagreed. Blake came to her defense, tweeting  "I love you!!!! I'll listen to your view points anytime. And I really wouldn't mind throat punching someone for you either!!" To which she promptly replied, "Thanks". Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood will be a part of Tony Bennett’s upcoming PBS Special, “Great Performances.”  The iconic singer will recreate the tracks on his  Duets II album.  Faith will sing "The Way You Look Tonight" and Carrie Underwood will partner on "It Had To Be You" with Tony during the special, airing on Friday, January 27th.  Another country artist will be there too.  Willie Nelson and Tony will do their version of "On The Sunny Side Of The Street."  Sheryl Crowe, Lady Gaga, and Michael Buble' are a few of the other performers appearing.
