Domestic Assault charges will be behind Rodney Atkins after he completes a court ordered 30 hours of community service. Rodney said after the ruling, "I am so thankful for all those that chose to withhold judgment while keeping my family and I in their prayers." The charges were filed after Rodney's soon-to-be-ex-wife, Tammy Jo, called police saying the singer had tried to suffocate her with a pillow after a night of drinking and arguing during Thanksgiving week last year.

Eric Church is fuming mad at concert ticket resellers.  Scalpers piss me off," Eric tells Billboard.com. "I've never encountered this in my life, we've never been at this level." Eric just launched his first arena headlining tour and discovered that big ticket brokers had joined his fan club and purchased front row and pit tickets that he had intended for his most loyal fans, the Church Choir.  Eric says he is working on some ways to stop the practice.

There is a new prince in King George's family.  George Strait has announced the birth of his first grandchild, a son born to son Bubba and his wife Tamara. George dedicated his hit "I Saw God Today" to the newborn at his concert Friday night, Feb. 3rd.  As far as we know, the Strait family has not released the name of the baby. The baby boy could be George III, dad Bubba's real name is George, Jr.

And, in other George Strait news, he is closing in on the record for the most top 10 songs in the history of Billboard's Country Songs chart. His latest single, "Love's Gonna Make It Alright" hit the top ten this week.  That would be George's 85th top ten hit, second only to Eddy Arnold's 92 top tens.  There is a good chance George will overtake the record for the most top 10 singles.  Of course, Eddy is no longer with us and George is still making hit records.

Ask the New York Daily News why the show The Voice is such a hit, and they will tell you it's Blake Shelton. In a commentary in the Daily News, they called Blake "different from almost every other talent show personality."  Blake agrees, “I do come at it differently and that might be my downfall. I don't know this world. I don’t know how TV works. So when I’m on the show, I just do what I always do, which is say the first thing that comes into my head. Which is not always very politically smart.”

Jason Aldean is prepping for the Grammys this Sunday. He is up for three Grammy awards including: Best Country Album for ‘My Kinda Party’, Best Country Solo Performance for "Dirt Road Anthem" and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Don’t You Wanna Stay". Which one does he really want to win? Jason said if he was only to get one Grammy he would choose the one that has boosted his career, for Best Country Album. "I would say just based on what this ‘My Kind of Party’ album has done for my career, I think it would be really cool to win Album of the Year." Jason says. The Grammys take place this Sunday night 7:00pm on CBS.
