You won't be friending or following Carrie Underwood on Facebook or Twitter any time soon. The superstar says she does not intend to ever have a personal account on either social media outlet. Although she does have fan pages on both Facebook and Twitter that are handled by her record label. Carrie says, quote, "I'm not into it. And some people are into it and they have fun with it and that's awesome. I'm glad people can find some happy by telling people what they had for lunch." Her husband, Mike, has an official Twitter page that has been up since April of last year: http://twitter.com/#!/mikefisher1212.
John Rich, winner of last year's Celebrity Apprentice, is a part of the new season of the show and he might not even know it. Arsenio Hall says there is a sure way to be this season's "Celebrity Apprentice." Just copy the strategy of last year's winner, JOHN RICH. Specifically, John's habit of wearing hats, like, all the time. Arsenio said, quote, "Usually on television they say, 'Hey, don't wear hats because it's bad for lighting.' [But] I'm looking and saying, 'John Rich is rocking these lids.' "When I finally got the call, I'm like, 'Guess what? It's time to be like John Rich. I'm going rock hats every episode." And, we thought for a minute that his strategy would be to copy John's plan to raise the most money for his charity.
Dierks Bentley threw away one album's worth of songs before finding the 12 songs that make up his album "Home". About a year ago, Dierks says he had decided on 15 songs for the album, but when he played them in concerts to his fans, they weren't working. So he threw out all but one of them, keeping "Am I The Only One". He said he apologized to his record company and offered to pay for the production done on the now scrapped songs. Thankfully, Dierks eventually settled on 11 more songs to finish up "Home". It is now the #1 country album.
Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban would be part of a Beach Boys 50th Anniversary project if Mike Love has a say. ((Audio)) The band just appeared on the Grammys last week. Mike told me that they have contacted Keith Urban about doing something and that Kenny Chesney would be perfect for a remake of the band’s biggest hit ‘Kokomo.’ Mike Love has admiration for all country music artist on the charts today and would be happy to work with them as well. “In fact, we’ve been in touch with Keith Urban to see if he would like to do something with us to celebrate our 50th anniversary and I don’t know if Kenny Chesney would like to but I think he would be great as well” Mike Love said.
Taylor Swift can't help it that she is optimistic about love. She told Jay Leno last night that she is a sagitarius and that makes her optimistic. Her problem is that she is blind when it comes to love. She falls in love, trusts people, gets her heart broken. Then she says she will decide to be one of those "dark twisted girls" that guys seem to like. But before she knows it, she is in love again and trusting people. She says she can't seem to help herself. Taylor also told Jay that she didn't write the song Mean about being bullied in high school, like many fans seem to think. Taylor says the song is really about a particular critic who kept giving her bad reviews.
