Scotty McCreery is going back to being a regular high school senior after the Brad Paisley's Virtual Reality tour. He has been given a spot on his Garner, North Carolina baseball team. Winning 'American Idol,' didn't afford him any special treatment from his coach. "Singing don't really mean you can really play ball well," he admits to ABC News Radio. "So, they had to see if I had a little something left in me." Scotty says he expects a little ribbing, "I have a feeling it's gonna be rough. I'm a pitcher, so I have a feeling when I get on the mound, guys are gonna be taunting me. I'm just gonna blow it off and strike 'em out!"
Eric Church is not going to follow Carrie Underwood and Trace Adkin's lead and start Tweeting. He says he is too focused on his music to spend time on Twitter. Like most artists, Eric has a Twitter account but he never tweets. He says, quote, "I'm an empty the tank guy when I'm making a record or I'm on tour. It just consumes me. I'm always afraid it would affect the music. I'm afraid it would make me just so focused on the career part [of my job], that it would hamper me creatively. I try to make the best records I can make and do the best shows I can put on. I try to keep it about that, and everything else I just let go."
Sometimes a song will inspire people to do the strangest things. Get this. Fans have been sending jars of sand to The Band Perry because of the line in their song "All Your Life". For some reason, fans feel connected to the line, quote, "Would you walk to the edge of the ocean just to fill my jar with sand?" Maybe they could use this to their advantage, and start writing songs about their favorite desserts!!
