The Sugarland concert stage rigging that collapsed and killed seven people during last summer's Indiana State Fair wasn't built strong enough to meet state building codes. The engineering firm Thornton Tomasetti, told the state fair commission that the metal rigging structure didn't meet requirements that it withstand wind gusts of 68 mph. This week Sugarland members Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush are doing video depositions in one of the several lawsuits filed by victims.  They are being questioned about the decision made to go ahead with the concert despite the approaching storms.

Craig Morgan's acting career is heating up. He made his tv drama debut on the series Army Wives on Lifetime this year and now he is excited about and invitation to appear on the tv crime drama Rizzoli & Isles, starring Angie Harmon. Angie appears in the video for Craig's latest single This Ol' Boy. As far as acting in general, the singer said "I've always wanted to do it, we just needed that start." Craig also has his own outdoor reality show All Access Outdoors, which runs on the Outdoor Channel.

Martina McBride hopes she is an inspiration to young girls who want to follow her in her footsteps and be a singer. Martina remembers what those dreams felt like, "I remember when I was singing in my bedroom in high school and singing in bands and trying to sound like somebody else and trying to hit all the notes.” So now the thought that somewhere some young girl is being inspired by her and perhaps singing her songs she says, “Oh it‟s awesome … it‟s really flattering and it feels great … the fact that there is some young girl in her bedroom singing.

Trisha Yearwood debuts her new cooking show on The Food Network this Saturday night. She assures us that she won't be doing it alone. "I kept saying, 'I don't think standing behind a kitchen counter by myself saying, "Now you add vanilla," sounds like fun,'" Trisha tells Nashville's Tennessean newspaper. "These first six episodes have my sister, my uncle, my best buddies and my nephew -- they have somebody else in them, so I'm not just standing there by myself."  One person who won't be in these first six episodes is Trisha's husband, Garth Brooks. Although, she does think he'll make an appearance in a second season.
