This year's Indiana State Fair has signed Blake Shelton for their country concert.  But the concert will be at a different location than last year's Sugarland concert where seven fans were killed when the stage rigging collapsed during a storm before the concert.  Blake's concert will be held at a fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Wichita Country Radio Legend Johnny Western is coming out of retirement. Since Johnny left Wichita for Arizona, the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon where Johnny was a frequent performer with the Prairie Rose Rangers, says his fans have been calling to request his return, according to Orin Friesen. Johnny has heard the calls and will be returning to Wichita to perform on Saturday, May 5, 2012.  "It promises to be an exciting show with a few surprises," according to a Prairie Rose Chuckwagon release..  Call the Prairie Rose for tickets at 316-778-2121.

 

The stage has been set for a face to face show-down between Ashton Kutcher and Miranda Lambert at a pre-Kentucky Derby party on May 4th that both are attending.  It will be the first time the two have met in person since Ashton's appearance at the ACM Awards where he was decked out in a cowboy hat and western wear as he presented Miranda with the top female vocalist award. Afterward Miranda tweeted, “Was Ashton Kutcher making fun of country or is it just me?” Kutcher replied that he’s “one of the biggest country music fans” and “wasn’t making fun at all.” 

 

Lionel Richie has the best-selling album in the nation for the second consecutive week with Tuskegee. His country duets project has once again claimed the No. 1 spot on the overall Billboard Top 200 albums chart. Tuskegee also sits at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart for the third week.
