Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are rumored to be in negotiations to do a concert series in Las Vegas. According to the Las Vegas Sun newspaper, Tim and Faith are close to signing a deal to do a run of weekend concerts in a small 1,800 seat theatre at one of the major hotels. The concerts would run from November 2012 through April 2013 according to the report. So far, both Tim and Faith aren't commenting on the story.
Tim McGraw and wife Faith Hill will eventually record an album together now that Tim has been released from his contract with Curb Records. Tim told American Songwriter magazine, "We'll do an album eventually but it's tough to say when. She's busy and she's got her career." Plus, he says they have some trouble agreeing on which song to record. "We don't always agree," he admits. "She's one of those artists who definitely knows what her sound is and what she wants to do. I'm the same way. She comes from more of an R&B, gospel, bluesy, Motown sort of thing, and I come from a '70s rock/Southern rock attitude. So we have different backgrounds of what we like."
Toby Keith is experiencing something he hasn't had to deal with before in his career. He is having success outside the country community with his hit "Red Solo Cup" and he admits having a pop crossover hit is new to him. While Toby has had a few other songs hit Billboard's pop chart over the course of his career, "Red Solo Cup" is giving him his highest placement on the list. The song climbed to number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100. Toby has mixed feelings on Red Solo Cup being his big crossover song, because it's not exactly a song with much meaning. Toby calls Red Solo Cup ‘Stupid good'.
Jason Aldean has revealed where tourmate Luke Bryan has a secret tattoo. Jason says he saw Luke's wife’s initials on the singer's rear end. Jason explained, "He was out on tour with me when he got it [and] you know, after you get a tattoo, when they start to heal they itch, and you want scratch it. Well, he kept complaining about it, and I was like, ‘What is wrong with you?’ And he told me he got a tattoo.." Jason says Luke then proceeded to show him by pulling down his pants. "I could see her initials on it! I was gonna give him some Gold bond or something," Jason says.
Chris Young's grandmother is joining her famous grandson in his support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, by offering up a one-of-a-kind handmade quilts. Chris' grandmother, who he calls "Nanny" has put her first quilt for the cause up for auction. It features the titles of Chris' songs from his three albums. It is available for bidding via the Forum on Chris Young’s official website. A new quilt, handmade by "Nanny," will be offered each month with all monies donated to St. Jude.
The fued is over between Miranda Lambert and Ashton Kutcher. The two made up during a Kentucky Derby party Saturday. Miranda had called Ashton a poser when he wore a cowboy get up and sang an off-key George Strait song on the ACM Awards telecast. Miranda thought he was mocking country music and country singers and said so on Twitter. But after meeting with him at the party on Saturday, MIranda tweeted a photo of the two together, writing, "He is sweet and loves country music. For real!"
