If Brad Paisley were going to be a super hero he would be Batman, not Superman. The super guitarist explains, " Superman was always going to save this world and was sent here to do that. There's no getting around it. When you can fly and look that good in tight blue tights, you're gonna be a super hero. But Batman had to figure out ways to do it without super powers and I don't know, I feel more like that."

Carrie Underwood's husband calls her the "Queen of Awkward Moments." Carrie says, quote, "If something can be said to make an awkward moment even worse, I'm going to say it." The Good Girl does go on to say that she is glad she can present a polished version of herself when it counts. The polished version of Carrie we see these days is the product of lessons she learned on "American Idol". --Carrie says, quote, "When I was on 'Idol', I said some dumb stuff, and learned what that could do, and that stuff lives on. It seemed like every single solitary stupid thing I said was aired and featured and replayed over and over and over again."

Another page has been added to the country music record book for Carrie Underwood. As expected, Blown Away has blown away the competition on both the Billboard Top Country Album chart and the all-genre Billboard 200 this week. Carrie's fourth album debuts at No. 1 on both charts making her only the second country artist in history (behind Miranda Lambert) to have her first four albums all debut at No. 1 on the country chart. Blown Away has posted the best first-week sales of any country album so far in 2012.

Casey James is one son who knows he owes a lot to his mom. She was the person who encouraged him to try out for American Idol. "I had never seen the show, and I didn’t know a thing about it. And she came up and said, you know, ‘You need to try this, you know, give this a shot.’ And my initial reaction was there’s no point in that, and I’m not, you know…everybody kind of has that…maybe I was afraid to try out because I thought that I would fail, and then I got to thinkin’, and I’m thinkin’, ‘What’s the worst-case scenario?’ They’re gonna say no." Casey James will be coming to Wichita on Saturday, May 19th during Ribfest and doing a free concert for those inside Ribfest, presented by Today's KFDI.

Taylor Swift has sold over 20 million albums but she still isn't 100% confident of her ability. Taylor tells "American Songwriter that she lacks confidence in her songwriting ability. She is ok with that because she thinks it will keep her growing as a songwriter and artist. "I think that keeps you motivated. I never want to get complacent and I never want to be 100 percent confident about any skill that I have. It's just not the way I think and not the way that you grow."
