The "My Kinda Party" album was the turning point in Jason Aldean's career, but he is predicting that artists entering the music industry now won't have the same experience in the future. Jason believes record companies under estimated the effect digital downloading would have on the music industry. "ITunes came along at a time when people were illegally downloading music and getting it for free, so record companies finally had an outlet to say at least were going to make something off the song. Now if people want a song they go and buy the one song spend a dollar to get it and that’s fine but it’s kinda killed album sales." Jason predicts that we are seeing the final days of 11 and 12 song albums.

Toby Keith exceeded all expectations when he raised $664,000 in his 9th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic last weekend, outperforming the 2011 total ($650,000) and bringing Toby's OK Kids Korral one step closer to reality. The event kicked off in Oklahoma City with a groundbreaking for the new children's health facility, "Turning dirt on this project is a big moment for me and a lot of other people who’ve been a part of making it happen." Kenny Chesney and Joe Walsh will give us the next CMT Crossroads special. The music series has provided us with some pretty interesting hookups between rock and country artists. Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Sara Evans, Hunter Hayes, and ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons will also be joining in the "CMT Crossroads: Joe Walsh & Friends". It premieres June 23

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert say having a simple breakfast at home together means a lot to them. The last few weeks they have been able to enjoy those simple times. "Doing laundry while watching ‘Good Morning America’ or ‘Say Yes to the Dress’, or Miranda cooking dinner for me and me telling her how good it is -- those kinds of things are a major big deal for us," Blake told Redbook. Blake is trying to be a good husband to Miranda. Blake says, "I think you've got to be confident and a bit of a pushover. Obviously, you've got to be a loyal person." Blake and Miranda are on a break but both will hit the road the first of June.
